It also excelled in running the spread option, before it became toyed with at nearly every school. Big East ain’t fooling anyone at this point, except perennial bowl loser Oklahoma.

The big east’s mistake was allowing teams to leave for the ACC. If it wasn’t for that and the re-emergence of Butch Davis, the ACC would be the focus of this debate.
